The Chirano Sefwiman Foundation is a philanthropic organization established by Asante Gold Chirano Ltd and the traditional leaders of the catchment communities.

To serve as a vehicle for the accelerated development and socio-economic transformation for the local communities of Chirano Gold Mines Limited, even beyond the Life of Mine.

Our Mission

To create lasting positive change in the catchment communities of Chirano Gold Mines Limited.

We are dedicated to improving the lives of residents by providing equal opportunities and access to essential services.

Through our focus on Education, Healthcare, Culture, Water and Sanitation, and Economic Empowerment, we aim to uplift individuals and build a foundation for sustainable development.

Leadership

Our executive body comprises of a Board of trustees headed by a chairman, company representatives, representatives of paramount chiefs, representatives from municipal assemblies and catchment representatives.

CHIRANO SEFWIMAN FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

The Chirano Sefwiman Foundation Scholarship Scheme (CSFSS) is a community-based initiative funded mainly by Asante Gold Chirano Ltd. Its goal is to support the sustainable development of the Sefwi area, particularly the company’s impact communities. Recognizing education as a driver of development, the Foundation provides scholarships to students from these communities and paramountcies.
