CSF graduates first scholarship beneficiaries

The Chirano Sefwiman Foundation has reached a major milestone, graduating its first batch of 33 scholarship beneficiaries, including doctors, engineers, nurses, pharmacists and teachers. Established in 2021, the foundation supports brilliant but underprivileged students from Asante Gold Chirano Ltd.’s 20 catchment communities, with a strong focus on STEM education—over 80% of the graduates pursued STEM-related fields.

Mr. Dindiok Chialin, Board Chairman, applauded the success of the program, acknowledging Asante Gold Chirano Ltd., which funds the scholarship through a one-dollar-per-ounce gold contribution. Ing. Stephen Asante Yamoah, GM, AGCL, praised the graduates as “pioneers and ambassadors of a brighter future for Chirano” and revealed that the company had invested GHS 750,000 in their education. He urged them to give back to their communities.

Nana Eluo Panyin, Kyidomhene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council, commended AGCL’s commitment to education and called on graduates to use their knowledge to drive positive change.

On behalf of her peers, Dr Lily Bosompem Nkansah expressed gratitude to the foundation, the company and their families, pledging to uphold hard work, integrity and service. The Chirano Sefwiman Foundation continues to transform lives, creating opportunities and empowering the next generation of leaders.
