Chirano Sefwiman Foundation Commissions 13 community projects

The Chirano Sefwiman Foundation has handed over thirteen (13) completed projects to communities in the catchment area of the Mine. Ntrentreso, Futa, Appeakrom, Kwanikrom, Surano, Anglo, Nsuonsua, and Subri were provided with mechanized boreholes. At Paboase, all chalkboards of their Primary and Junior High School, constructed some years ago by Chirano Gold Mines, were replaced with marker boards. Twenty-four Students Receive Full Scholarship Under VP/GM and CSF Schemes

Twenty-four underprivileged students from the catchment communities have received scholarships for the duration of their studies at the tertiary level from Chirano. Immediate past VP/GM Terence Watungwa said this is part of efforts to provide support for the improvement of education through the provision of infrastructure, teacher incentives and human capital development.
